Espresso Kaapi Kerala, ground

medium dark rosted espresso – tangy, full, aromatic

Spicy, explosive and full of body: this Demeter espresso blend’s temperament is down to its heritage. ‘Kaapi’ is what farmers in southern India call the coffee that they grow for us in the highlands of Kerala (1,000 metres above sea level). The conditions are ideal: the soil is full of nutrients and shade trees arch generously over the coffee bushes. The multitude of flora and fauna makes this tropical mountain region one of the most biodiverse in the world. Using Demeter farming methods, our partner plantation’s coffee growers preserve this unique landscape and harvest Arabica and Robusta coffee of rare quality. We round off our Kaapi Kerala with Arabica beans from Mexico’s oldest Demeter finca.
